Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve, picnic on the beach, a new moon, a pink sunset, listening to the radio which is as usual playing Bing Crosby, just like every other year. A little soothing Bing is just what's needed. It's been a  big crazy week, the beginning of school holidays, the birth of my first nephew, two frightening new earthquakes in Christchurch. I don't have any words left in my empty head, so I will just wish you a very merry and calm-filled Christmas instead. See you in 2012!

Christmas Cards

Late as usual, but finally pulled out the Gocco from its hiding place and set to work on making Christmas cards. I love my Gocco, but use it so rarely that I lose all memory of what to do with it and end up wasting bulbs, putting ink on the wrong side of the screen and generally end up swearing and making a huge mess. This time I painted a background in acrylic, waited for it to dry and printed the drawing on top. All done. Phew.
